I read for a living. My vision and my voice are my livelihoods. When I was diagnosed with kerataconus, a degenerative disease of the cornea that slowly worsened my vision, my doctor finally determined that transplants were the only option for me. Thanks to the Alabama Eye Bank, I have healthy corneas in both eyes and much improved vision.
